Runaway

Sometimes I want to run away,
Run away to a much brighter day,
Hoping that tomorrow brings new hope,
To help my heart find its grace,
What once was an oasis happy and safe?
Has now become an empty place,
The scars left from pain and love,
Turns in to aggression and hate,
It’s my pride as a strong individual,
That hides the pain inside,
But no matter how hard I try,
My heart still slowly dies,
And I try and try to run away,
Only to be brought to the same place,
Running round and round in circles,
Making the same mistakes,
When will I ever face the truth?
And stop blinding myself with lies,
Instead of just seeing with my eyes,
I should look with my heart inside,
Not knowing is not an excuse,
For the truth is in front of me,
I just been blinded by my own pity,
To truly open my eyes and see,
Because sometimes I want to run away,
